The brain has devised shortcuts to understand what it is seeing. Shadows, perspective, and color are all clues the brain uses in order to make decisions about what it is looking at..

The human brain is constantly alert. As humans, we are predisposed to make what we see logical.

Why is my brain seeing this?

Human Features

Why is my brain telling my eyes what to see?

From infancy, we have the ability to quickly recognize fellow human beings, study their features, and mimic expressions.

In order to preserve and procreate- all humans recognize other humans. Similarly, all other creatures do the same.  For example, dogs recognize other dogs, birds know their specific breed, and cats know their own species as well.

Perspective

The secret to optical illusions is perspective. Magicians and illusionists base their entire act on what the viewer can’t see instead of what they can.

When you flip, turn, and twist your

perspective you will see the illusion's secrets.

And quickly discover that it is not an illusion at all; but, instead just a different perspective.
